Emergency electrician, available day and night
Power failure, a fuse that keeps tripping, a burning smell at the fuse box or a socket that sparks: call us. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the province of Antwerp and are usually on site within the hour in the Kempen. You can explain the problem in English or Dutch.
When to call us
Call straight away if you recognise one of these situations. Do not wait until tomorrow if you smell burning or see sparks: switch off the main switch and call.
If you are new to Belgium: a power cut in the whole street is a grid fault and should be reported to Fluvius, the grid operator for the province. If only your home is affected, the fault is in your installation and that is what we come for.

What we do on site
We look for the cause first. It can be a faulty appliance, a damaged cable, moisture in a junction box or a worn fuse box. In most cases we can put the installation safely back into service the same day. If a permanent repair needs more work, we leave a safe temporary solution and come back with a quote.
For businesses we can also provide emergency power with a generator, so cooling and the till keep running until the repair is done.
In the older houses of Antwerp and the villages of the Kempen the causes are often the same: moisture in a junction box after a leak, an overloaded kitchen circuit, a worn fuse holder that overheats. We carry the common parts in the van, so most repairs are finished in one visit.
What it costs
An emergency call-out has a fixed starting rate that covers the trip and the first hour. Outside office hours that rate is higher. You hear the amount on the phone, before we leave. Parts are charged at cost.
If you are renting, making the installation safe is urgent and you can call us directly. The permanent repair is normally the landlord's responsibility; we can send the quote to the landlord or the agency in English or Dutch.

How fast can you be there?
In the Kempen usually within the hour, in Antwerp city and Mechelen within two hours. We tell you on the phone what time to expect us.
What can I check myself first?
See whether the neighbours have power too, switch off all appliances and try to reset the residual current device once. If you smell burning or see sparks, touch nothing and call.
Do you come in the weekend too?
Yes, seven days a week. In the weekend and at night a higher starting rate applies, which you hear in advance.
